Save a bundle at Walt Disney World this fall with this generous room discount offer. Disney released two new promotions offering guests a chance to save big on their Walt Disney World vacation this fall. We covered all the details of Disney’s Free Dining promotion in our previous blog article, “Disney Dished Out Free Dining this Fall.”  So here’s the scoop on the generous room discount offer.

How much can you save?

Plan on saving 20% off the cost of your room at the value resorts (except the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation which are not included in the promotion), and 25% at the moderate and deluxe resorts. Keep in mind, not every room at every resort is discounted. Disney limits the promotion to specific resorts and specific room categories, and there are blackout dates too. So our advice if you want the best deal, is to be as flexible as you can with you travel dates and resort preferences.

Changes to the Free Dining offer may mean the Room Discount offer pays off for you

Traditionally, free dining has always been the best way to save at Disney. But with the change this year (offering free Quick Service vs Table service to guests staying at moderate resorts) you may want to think twice about it.

The easiest way to figure out what offer is best for you, is to tell us a little more about the kind of vacation you want so we can then compare a few different options for you. Is the room offer a good deal?

We have some examples to show you how you can best save in our follow-up blog post, “Free Dining vs Room Discount.” In most cases free dining still wins as the best value, but it really all boils down to your budget (if you have one) and how you want to spend your time on vacation. So if you don’t plan on going to the parks every day, the room offer is probably the better deal.

Are your travel dates flexible?

Timing is another factor that might help make your choice easier. The travel dates of eligibility are different for both promotions. If your travel dates are not flexible, you might find yourself only having one offer to choose from. Either way, both offers save you a bundle over regular rates, and given the fact that it is fall when rates are more attractive anyway, a promotion just makes a fall Disney vacation all that more attractive.

To be eligible, guests must book a minimum 6-night Magic Your Way vacation package with Magic Family Travel that includes a minimum 3-day park pass for every member of your party. The one-year subscription to Touring Plans will be issued at the time of booking, and the $50 Gift Card will be issued with your travel documents, following your final payment approximately 15-30 days before your trip.
